Pleasantville's Will Shortz Profiled In New York Times PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.  -- The New York Times just took a look inside the Pleasantville home of Will Shortz, who edits the crossword puzzle for the paper. Shortz admitted he was embarrassed by the state of the room, which has more than 25,000 puzzle books, dating back to 1534, along with other puzzles and pamphlets. Shortz has been with the Times since 1993 and he told the newspaper his goal was to draw in a younger and more diverse audience. Community Supports Family After Northern Westchester Mom Dies While Hiking The Yorktown community has come together to support the family of Tracey Doerr Lister, who died Monday from complications of heat stroke while hiking with her boys at Black Canyon National Park in Colorado. Lister, who grew up in Yorktown and was living in Colorado, was 49 years old and would have celebrated her birthday Friday, July 14. Lister was hiking with her 16- and 20-year-old sons when she collapsed on the trail, according to the National Park Service. His goal? To eradicate having one less family member lose their life to cancer.
