Duo Pulled Gun, Knife On Wildwoods Boardwalk Store Employees: Police
A man and a teen were accused of threatening employees at a store on the Wildwoods Boardwalk with a gun and a knife, authorities said. Nicholas Green, 23, of Cape May Court House, was arrested on Tuesday, May 21, the Wildwood Police Department said in a news release on Friday, May 24. Speeding Pennsylvania Driver, 29, Charged Crash That Killed NJ Grandmother
A Pennsylvania man has been charged in connection with a fatal high-speed crash in South Jersey, authorities said. Theresa Karbach, 69, of Cherry Hill, died as a result of injuries from the crash in Lawnside on May 13 at about 9:30 p.m., according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay. Anwar Parham, 29, of North Wales, PA, was charged with death by auto, driving with a suspended license and assault by auto, MacAulay said. Sayreville Explosion Knocks Power To 4,300
An explosion in Sayreville injured one person and left some residents without power, police said. The explosion occurred about noon on Friday, May 24 near Main Street and Sayreville Boulevard, police said in a release. Sayreville police said a related fire was under control. Main Street was closed between Sayreville Blvd South and MacArthur Avenue. According to JCP&L, 4,300 customers were without power. There was no ETA on power restoration.

A Newark man was convicted of robbing someone who won $20,000 at an Atlantic City casino, authorities said. A jury found 51-year-old Robert Reed guilty on Monday, May 20 of second-degree robbery, third-degree aggravated assault, third-degree theft by unlawful taking, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. Drag Racing Causes Route 1 Crash That Injures 2 In Edison
Drag racers on Route 1 led to a crash in Edison that seriously injured two people on Thursday, May 23, authorities said. Police were looking for two vehicles that may have contributed to the crash: a white Infiniti G35 and a black Honda Accord, according to police.
